India proudly celebrate its Independence Day every year on August 15. Every school, colleges and Government offices celebrate this day as a mark of freedom from the British rule. Write a report about Independence Day celebration in your school.
Independence Day Celebration
Our school celebrated Independence Day this year with great pomp and pleasure. On the day, the students went to school early in the morning dressed in school uniform. A large number of guardians also attended the function. Students stood in rows in the school campus which was nicely decorated with small flags and festoons. The honourable B.D.O took the chair while the D.I. of our district was present as the guest-in-chief on the occasion. There were also many distinguished guests and guardians there. At about 8 a.m. the National Flag was hoisted by the president. The function started with the national song. This was followed by speeches, patriotic songs and recitations in the big hall of our school. The students and the teachers participated in them. At last, the president and the chief guest made brief but stirring speeches in which they called upon the students to build a new India of our dreams. Then the Headmaster gave a vote of thanks. The function came to a close with a moving patriotic song. Then sweets were distributed among the people present on the occasion.
