An old farmer had three sons.They were very lazy. They would not do any work. The farmer felt that his end was drawing near. The old father was very worried about his sons. He was very unhappy.
One day the farmer became very ill. He knew he was nearing his end. He made a plan to make them work and be active. He called them beside his death-bed.

“My sons”, said the farmer to his three idle sons, ” I have laid a treasure in my land. Dig the field and you’ll find it.” The next morning the farmer died.
The sons rushed to the field and dug up all the land. But they didn’t find any treasure. “Why should we leave the field all dug up?” said the sons among themselves, “We must sow some seeds here.” Then they sowed seeds in the field.
In due course golden corn came up. And they had a good harvest. The sons make out the meaning of the treasure of their father.
Moral of the story :
No pain, no gain.
Industry is the mother of good luck.
Sweet are the fruits of labour.
