Sub :- Indiscriminate use of loudspeakers
Sir,
I shall be highly obliged to you if you kindly allow me a little space in your esteemed daily to express my concern over the indiscriminate use of loudspeakers in our locality.
I convey my displeasure caused by the misuse of loudspeakers during feasts and festivals. It has become a
torture to public life. Nowadays youngsters organise the pujas. And in the name of worship they use loudspeakers at top pitch from dawn to midnight. It blares out indecent film songs. It disturbs the students and patients. It is a serious source of sound pollution. Appeals to their good sense go to the deaf ears. They do not understand that the din causes irritation to the patients and the examinees. The police are indifferent to such nuisance.
I hope this will draw the prompt attention of the government to take effective measures to control such indiscriminate use of loudspeakers in our locality.
Thanking you,
